Tape Restoration and Data Conversion

Palmer Legal Technologies provides a modular matrix of services that can be included in a larger project that is managed by a law firm’s in-house team.

Where data or documents need to be extracted from different backup tape formats, and placed onto a storage device that is more readily manageable by that in-house team, then Palmer Legal Technologies has the tape experience to be able to assist.

Our technical team has access to virtually every type of tape drive and backup software program, and will be able to assist with the technical task of preparing the ‘data universe’ for a litigation support team’s own in-house processes.

In many cases the data that is extracted from a tape may need to be manipulated bofre it is returned for processing. Our dedicated technical team is able to convert data from one format to another, or extract data from a database into files that can be processed with a firm’s in-house tools (e.g. Microsoft Exchange™ .edb to Microsoft Outlook™ .pst files).
